Hello! My name is Amy Sudbeck and I am a natural light Professional Portrait Photographer specializing in Newborn, Child and Family portraits. I was born in New York City and I have settled into a beautiful life here in Fredericksburg, Virginia with my wonderful Husband, 4 Kiddos (Ages 16, 15, 6, and 1) and two English Bulldogs that drive me crazy more often than not. If I'm not behind my camera or editing in my office I can be found at Starbucks or Wawa for fresh coffee.
I have spent many years as a single mom working full time in the software industry while attending college full time and providing professional photography services part time. After getting married in 2010 and giving birth to my beautiful daughter in 2012 this juggle became more and more overwhelming and I had to sit down and really think about what I was most passionate about. That was a simple answer... Photography.
Why Children and Newborns?
My childhood was a struggle. As are the childhoods of many others. I own exactly one photograph of myself as a baby. No one is really sure how old I am in the photo but if I had to guess I would say anywhere between 6-8 months. This photograph stays pinned to my wall in my office and I look at it every day. I do not know what I look like as a newborn or as a toddler. This is what drives my passion so strongly to capture every milestone of your child's life. Every moment from the first few days of life, to taking those first steps and saying those first words, to the moment they walk down the isle and say "I Do" only happen once for a very brief moment and then they are gone forever. It would be an honor to capture these precious moments for you to treasure forever.
